The most profound lesson I have learned in my life came after a near-death experience in my twenties when I fell from a cliff. This event allowed me to focus on what is truly important: living in the present moment and cultivating gratitude. The future and the past don’t exist; all we have is the experience of the present.
These thoughts often come to mind whenever I walk along the shore at the edge of the coast. As I watch the golden sun kiss the horizon, I can’t help but feel grateful for the fortune and happiness that come from embracing the beauty of living boldly and fully in the present.
