“The Festival of Life” was inspired by the vibrant energy of youth—their fearless embrace of the journey, their curiosity, and their openness to life’s possibilities. As I painted, I reflected on my younger self, filled with enthusiasm and boldness, ready to celebrate every step along the way.
I imagined a scene bursting with light and laughter, where everyone shines in their own unique way. It reminded me of the beauty in living fully—savoring the present, embracing gratitude, and saying yes to celebrating every moment, big or small.
This piece invites you to keep that youthful heart, to laugh, dance, and cherish both the quiet, everyday moments and life’s grand victories. Life itself is the ultimate festival, and each moment is worth living with purpose, passion, and joy.
The original painting was selected for exhibition at the “Big Show” held at Texas State University, Round Rock Campus, in June 2017.
