I painted this during a time when I felt surrounded by people but deeply alone. I was at a beautiful gathering, where everybody was quite joyous. The other day, I tried to search for the reason, to reconnect, not just with others but with myself. When I paint, I connect with my inner self easily; it flows. Sometimes, the journey inward reveals that the connection we seek starts from within.
