“The Ladder of Success” came to life as I reflected on my journey… I didn’t start as a painter. I painted all my life, but I never wanted to be a professional painter. I was discouraged by so many people that I would be one of those starving artists. But I went all-in with each step, each challenge, and each moment of growth. Success isn’t something anyone can hand to you; it’s a path you carve for yourself.
As I painted this piece, I thought about the times I felt stuck or doubted myself, and how the only thing that kept me moving was the voice within, cheering me on. That inner encouragement reminded me of the beauty waiting at the top, the fulfillment of knowing I made it by trusting my strength and determination. Looking back at all those dozens of collectors and all the joy I gave to others -and myself- I feel how much this journey was worth happening.
This painting is about that climb, the effort, the persistence, and the reward of reaching closer to your purpose with every step you take.
The original oil painting is proudly showcased in Greece at the fine-dining restaurant Varoulko, led by the renowned and multi-time-awarded chef Lefteris Lazarou.
