“The Stranger” was inspired by the unexpected and the unfamiliar… like a piece of driftwood resting among smooth stones. Its presence tells a story of journeys, of being carried by the sea to a place it doesn’t quite belong, yet somehow fits.
As I painted, I imagined the wood as a traveler, a stranger among familiar faces. What brought it here? What stories does it carry?
This piece invites us to embrace the unknown, to open the door and welcome the unexpected into our lives. It reminds us that every encounter, even with a stranger, holds the potential for connection and discovery.
