The Light of Gratitude

“I let go. And a light passed through me.

I felt love warming every cell of my being, every thought.
It softened every wound, extinguished every anxiety I had hidden in the corners of silence.

And then something was born inside me, a deep caring, for the grass that bends in the wind,
for the stone that gazes toward the journey at the golden horizon, for the hand of the stranger, for the voice no one hears.

I arrived here through difficult paths, walking over mountains and tiptoeing along cliff edges, with nothing to guide me but a faint suspicion of light.

Only to behold Your light – that warm, soothing, eternal light, that silently, with awe and love together, filled my soul with Gratitude.
